Kevin Heidrick, PA-C, began his career as a Physician Assistant at Salud Medical Center in 1991 and in 1995 he also served as the clinic’s patient services director. In 1998, Salud joined YVFWC and Mr. Heidrick became Clinic Medical Director in 2005 and that role was later expanded to Regional Medical Director for YVFWC’s Salud, Lancaster and Rosewood sites in Western Oregon. He is now serving as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic.
Heidrick is also touted as being essential in bringing the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model of care to the attention of leadership at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic. YVFWC became NCQA Level 3 recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and leadership says Heidrick was essential in showing them how they could begin taking steps to implement the strategy that resulted in the accreditation.
Heidrick was also recently presented with the Leadership in Transformation Award from the Oregon Primary Care Association for leading the effort to transform the broader health and healthcare system to the benefit of vulnerable populations.
He is serves as the CMO for the 19 medical sites under the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic network of care, which serves over 141,000 patients annually.
