ABA Assistant

The person in this position will provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, implementing individual treatment plans based on the principals of behavior analysis under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst. Assigned clients will be children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) displaying challenging and/or aggressive behaviors within the home, school or community settings or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services with in a clinic based Day Program delivering Intensive Early Intervention services.


  • Education: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Developmental Psychology, Special Education or other related degrees.
  • Experience: One year of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Application for Certified Behavior Technician within one week of completing the 40 hours of required supervision/training by a BCBA/LBA. Current Washington State driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage; and a current First Aid/CPR card, or obtained within 45 days of hire. Trained in Right Response. NOTE: FBI fingerprints required if have lived in Washington State less than the last 3 consecutive years.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Bilingual preferred. In designated bi-lingual positions, must demonstrate ability to translate at level 9 on the ALTA language proficiency test. The ability to provide direct services of behavior interventions and data collection and graphing. Ability to engage with parents and/or teachers to implement behavior intervention protocols under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst. The ability to respond to challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner within multiple settings. The ability to be independent in prioritizing daily tasks within the work setting.
