Schedules patients with providers following established scheduling guidelines and/or procedures and directs incoming calls to the clinic appropriately. Provides backup support to other front office positions as needed or requested by supervisor.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: One-year of experience as a Medical Receptionist or clerical work preferred.
- Licenses/Certificates/Registration: None.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Bilingual English/Spanish, Bilingual English/appropriate foreign language based on demographics of the area. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate at level 9 on the ALTA language proficiency scale; knowledge of medical terminology or willingness to learn; ability to work under stressful conditions; exercise independent judgment and discretion; have a pleasant, courteous telephone manner, ability to deal with difficult patients; ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously; and the ability to work with frequent interruptions.
