Therapeutic Foster Care for Youth

Therapeutic Foster Care for Youth:  Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Placement Program is a comprehensive foster care program in which positive behavioral support methods and environmental structure are provided.

The services are tailored to each child’s needs and are offered in the least restrictive setting possible, including in-home services. BHS serves severely emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children age 4-20, referred by Children’s Administration (DSHS).

Each youth is evaluated within 30 days of placement and an individualized treatment plan is implemented. A wide array of services are offered such as: Individual Treatment, Educational Support Services, Family Therapy, Respite Care, Transportation, Case Management, Independent Living Skills and Crisis Services 24 hours a day.
