If you’re an immigrant experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19 or have lost a loved one to the virus there are two ways you can find some relief.
Washington COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund
If you aren’t eligible for federal financial relief or unemployment insurance, you may be eligible for the Washington COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund.
Apply for the Washington COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund and receive a $1,000 one-time direct payment, apply by May 15th.
FEMA Funeral Assistance Program
If you lost a loved one due to the virus, FEMA is processing applications for funeral assistance. The assistance is designed to help ease some of the financial stress created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Expenses eligible for relief must be covid-19 related and incurred after Jan. 20, 2020, under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
