The American Heart Association has again recognized Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic for our unwavering commitment to achieving better blood pressure control. One in three American adults lives with high blood pressure, increasing their risk for heart attack, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure, and other health problems. The American Medical Association Target: BP Recognition Program celebrates health systems that treat patients with hypertension for achieving blood pressure control rates at or above 70 percent within their populations. These achievements will ultimately reduce heart attacks, strokes, and other health issues in our communities.
