Dr. Rasputkov was born in Estonia, a Baltic republic of the former Soviet Union. He was transplanted to the US at the tender age of two. Growing up in Portland, Oregon he gained English as a second language after his native Russian. He later also taught himself Ukrainian. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University—at the same time studying Hebrew for three years. He hopes to compensate for his slight Russian accent by learning Spanish as well. He attained osteopathic medical education from Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon. During his training, he also received supplemental instruction in nutrition and earned certification in Advanced Wilderness Life Support. He is an AHEC Scholar and an Alan C. Bates Scholar. Dr. Rasputkov joins Sollus Northwest Family Medicine Residency with an interest in preventive medicine. His skill in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment is a highly valued instrument in his invisible doctor’s bag. He plays piano and accordion, restores and collects vintage hand tools, and enjoys camping and bushcraft. He is abundantly blessed with a wife and young son who share his interest in music and the outdoors.
