Stella Vasquez, Chief Programs Operations Officer, administers, oversees, and directs multiple YVFWC non-clinic programs in two states (WA & OR), including Nutrition Services WIC, Northwest Community Action Center, Behavioral Health Services, NACHC Health Corps, New Hope Clinic, Community Health Services, Mobile Unit, and Planning & Development. Program operations impact over 100,000 clients annually.
She is committed to exploring, developing, and adapting services that address the special needs in the areas we serve. Vasquez currently oversees a licensed mental health facility that primarily serves children, emphasizing the underserved, children of color, and children living in poverty. She has also implemented evidence-based programs in the mental health field.
Over the past 13 years, Vasquez has been involved in numerous grants and projects involving health disparity research. She has developed and implemented strategies to address chronic disease, cervical cancer prevention, asthma, HIV, and prenatal care. This work includes serving as a co-investigator in the project “Center for Hispanic Health Promotion: Reducing Cancer Disparities” in partnership with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
