Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency

An Impactful Education In Collaborative Care

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic Ambulatory Pharmacy Residency, in collaboration with Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, offers new pharmacists an opportunity to practice at the top of their license and bring expansive care to the communities who need it most. As part of our collaborative, diverse care team, residents will develop chronic disease management solutions for a wide variety of patient populations. Residents will also work closely with pharmacy and clinic leadership to identify and implement improvements to our existing patient care systems

A Unique Residency in a Unique Setting

Both Washington residency locations serve a diverse patient population, many of whom face socioeconomic challenges and limited access to healthcare. In rural Toppenish, we work closely with the farm worker population from our flagship clinic, where our organization was founded. In urban Spokane, we provide care and services to the large refugee population in the region, as well as the local community at large. These communities provide residents with an invaluable experience addressing health disparities within a collaborative team and providing culturally sensitive care. Learn more about our approach to community health in our report to our communities here.
