Expectant Mothers Offered Free Baby Shower
YVFWC, Toppenish Community Hospital offers free resources, gifts for pregnant moms
TOPPENISH – Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) and Toppenish Community Hospital are partnering to offer Lower Valley moms a free baby shower.
Moms are invited to the baby shower on Tuesday, May 9, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Toppenish Community Hospital, located at 502 West Fourth in Toppenish. A baby shower for Spanish speakers will be offered the same day from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
At the baby shower, open to moms at least 28 weeks pregnant, moms will enjoy food, games, gifts, and a hospital tour. Expectant mothers will also hear from local health professionals about the resources available to them, and what to expect before, during, and after delivery.
Resources and programs represented at the baby shower include: Toppenish Community Hospital, WIC, Baby and Me peer support group, YVFWC’s Community Health Services, Breastfeeding Peer Education, YVFWC Primary Care Nutrition Services, and the Lower Valley Parents as Teachers group.
