Dr. Mark Koday has a three-decade career under his belt at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic. With those years he brings many accomplishments and his perspective on the world of migrant health care today.
Dr. Koday graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1978 and started as a Commissioned Officer with the U.S. Public Health Service. Dr. Koday was placed with Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Toppenish in 1986 as the organization’s dental director, and has been with the organization since. Koday recently retired from the Chief Dental Officer’s role, but remains director of the Northwest Dental Residency Program.
Among his accolades includes the Lifetime Achievement Award in Migrant Health from the National Association of Community Health Centers in 2017. He has served on the Washington State Dental Quality Assurance Commission, the American Dental Association’s Council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention, the Dental Quality Alliance, and as a board member of the Washington State Dental Association.
