What are the Benefits of Refilling a Prescription Using MyChart?

Once you have signed up for MyChart in one of our clinic locations, here are the benefits to using the Medications page in MyChart.

The Medications page in MyChart allows you to review your medications and information about them, including the start date and instructions for each prescription.  Patients using MyChart can also write personal notes concerning any given medication. Only current outpatient medications (medications with either an end date in the future, or no end date at all) appear on the Medications page.

You can request refills for your medications by clicking the Request Refill button on the Medications page, or by sending a Rx Refill Request message directly from the Message Center.

After you submit the refill request, the message is either routed to your provider for approval or sent directly to the pharmacy.

You can also review and request medication refills on your mobile devices through MyChart for the iPhone and MyChart for Android.
