Griselda Almaguer

Chief Financial Officer

Griselda Almaguer’s leadership journey began in 1995, when, at just 19 years old and a young mother, she set out to build a better future. She started her career as a Medical Receptionist at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, working late shifts while balancing the demands of family life. Over the following years, she held various clerical roles before transitioning into Human Resources and later into Managed Care as a Customer Service Representative, a position that allowed her to serve her community directly.

When an internal manager position opened on the Customer Service team, she applied, was selected, and lead that team for nine years. During this time, she returned to school and earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2009, all while working full-time and raising two children. This milestone marked a turning point, leading to a role as Senior Financial Analyst, where she supported budgeting and planning for six years.

In 2015, Griselda earned her MBA in Finance from Ohio University. Shortly thereafter, she joined the General Ledger Accounting team, expanding her responsibilities to include Accounts Payable and Grants. Within two years, she was promoted to Controller, overseeing Payroll, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting.

Her leadership trajectory continued to accelerate: Senior Director of Finance/Controller, Vice President of Finance, and finally Chief Financial Officer in 2023.

Griselda’s journey is a testament to resilience, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to growth. From frontline roles to the C-suite, she has demonstrated that leadership is rooted in purpose and continuous learning. She takes pride in how far she has come and remains inspired by the possibilities ahead.
