Behavioral Health Consultant

Behavioral Health Consultant:  Located in the medical clinics and working side-by-side with primary care providers, these clinicians are mental health professionals with training in brief behavioral assessment and problem-focused interventions.  While coordination of care is part of the job duties, the majority of the Behavioral Health Consultant’s activities are focused on providing clinical interventions with patients, and behavioral consultations to the primary care team.  Behavioral Health Consultants can be licensed psychologists, psychologists receiving residency training, licensed therapists and licensed social workers.
