Yakima Health Enhancement Project

Our mission is,

“Together, we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well‑being.” In our effort to eliminate barriers to health and well-being, we’re excited to announce the expansion of services in Yakima. The Yakima Health Enhancement Project will expand services, bring new providers into our community, and allow a more coordinated patient experience for our pediatric and OB/GYN patients.

As part of our Yakima Health Enhancement Project, Women’s Health services will come under one roof in a new, central location in Yakima. This rendering shows how the waiting room and front office areas for the new location are expected to look.

A Stronger, Unified Women’s Health Program

Women’s Health services, currently spread across multiple sites, will come under one roof in a new, central location in Yakima. Patients will benefit from:

  • More consistent scheduling
  • Better coverage for deliveries, surgeries, and appointments
  • A cohesive care team able to collaborate in real time
  • Improved training and onboarding for new providers

“We are excited to build a clinic centered on excellence and dedicated to the health of the women in our community,” said Dr. Daniel Nicoara.

More Pediatric Access When Families Need It Most

Families in Yakima have been experiencing long waits for pediatric care, and many clinics are not accepting new patients. In response, we’re expanding pediatric services at Lincoln Avenue Medical-Dental Clinic.

The clinic will add five new pediatric providers, including two clinicians dedicated to same day visits. This expansion will allow us to significantly increase the number of pediatric visits each year, ensuring children receive the care they deserve when they need it. This means:

  • Faster access to preventive care
  • Fewer unnecessary trips to the emergency department
  • Better continuity for our families

“Expansion of our pediatric services, and offering same day appointments, will allow us to better support our community,” said Maridee Freeman, Senior Director Regional Operations.

West Valley: Growing Primary Care and Bringing Specialty Services Closer to Home

At West Valley, we will strengthen our Family Practice with three new providers. Patients will benefit from increased same-day access, and improved integration of primary care, and pharmacy.

Across all three sites, this project will add more than 40 new health care jobs and significantly increase patient access. Most importantly, it will better align our services with the current needs of Yakima families, while supporting our mission of transforming our communities through compassionate, individualized care, and eliminating barriers to health and well-being.
