Back-to-school Health Fair Planned
A sports-themed health fair offers sports physicals, family fun and more
YAKIMA – Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) is hosting a free health fair, Friday, August 25 at 2205 West Lincoln Avenue from 3 to 7 p.m.
The “Kick-off to Health” event at Lincoln Avenue Medical-Dental Center is a sports-themed health fair.
“We want to help families kick-off their new school year with the immunizations, screenings, and sports physicals they need,” Jessica Johnson, YVFWC Community Relations Coordinator said.
The health fair will feature activities, free immunizations for school-aged children, prizes, free food, dental screenings, and $10 sports physicals. Children getting immunizations, dental screenings, or sports physicals must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have their immunization records on hand. In addition to the fun and excitement provided by YVFWC staff, nearly a dozen community partners will be at the event.
The local event is free and all are welcome to attend.
