Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic names new VP of External Affairs
Gina Popovic named newest VP
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) has named Gina Popovic as the new Vice President of External Affairs.
As VP of External Affairs, a new position at YVFWC, Popovic oversees all marketing, communications, and public affairs strategies for the organization. She is responsible for the management of legislative and regulatory activities; building relationships with elected officials and government agencies; and serving as YVFWC’s spokesperson with the media, government and regulatory contacts, and industry peers and colleagues.
Popovic has been with YVFWC for nearly four years, previously serving as the organization’s Senior Director of Communications and Public Affairs.
It’s the mission, vision, and colleagues that have kept Popovic with YVFWC.
“This is the single best organization I’ve ever worked with. The people here are incredibly talented. We attract the best and brightest and I’m honored to be among them,” she said.
Popovic has 13 years of experience working with the many facets of external affairs in the health care setting; including public policy, marketing, and communications.
“In the few years she has been part of our organization Gina has met and exceeded expectations. I look forward to what her energy and passion will bring to this new role,” CEO Carlos Olivares said.
With all the uncertainty around health care, Popovic says she’s looking forward to working with the teams at YVFWC and the communities the organization serves.
“I’m eager to share information relevant to patient education, to help alleviate concerns our patients, staff, and communities may have and help eliminate issues,” she added. “I am genuinely interested in engaging in a dialogue with our communities, and I want to foster that with social media, news articles, and other media channels.”
