Our Financial Empowerment program is an opportunity for individuals with low-to-moderate income to develop financial education skills, build positive habits, and transform economic goals into reality in an interactive, discussion-based series of classes.
Financial Empowerment
This program provides eight weeks of financial empowerment instruction, with participants attending one weekly 2.25-hour class (in either English or Spanish). At the end of the program, participants receive a Certificate of Completion. Sessions cover the following topics:
- Values, Influences, & Goalsetting
- Identity Theft, Fraud, & Risk Management
- Financial Products, Services, & Providers
- Income & Expenses, Budgeting & Saving
- Managing Debt, Credit Reports & Credit Scores
- Making Housing Choices & Home Buying Risks,
