Coastal Family Health Center Expands Astoria Services with New Integrated Care Clinic

Coastal Family Health Center opened its newly expanded Astoria clinic on January 12, 2026. The $15.5 million investment brings a fully integrated health care model to better serve patients and fulfill their mission to deliver compassionate, individualized care, and eliminate barriers to health and well-being.

Facility Features and Services
• Whole-person Care: Dental, behavioral health, nutritional counseling, and pharmacy services are now available for Coastal Family Health patients
• Improved access: Drive through pharmacy, mail order pharmacy, expanded hours, and off-street parking

“Whole person care is essential to our mission,” said Christy Trotter, CEO. “We are pleased to offer this model to our current patients and look forward to expanding to serve more Care Oregon members.”

Funding and Construction
Construction of the new clinic began in 2024 and was made possible through a blend of self-funding and support from the New Market Tax Credit program, with contributions from Ecotrust and Wells Fargo. Trotter highlighted the rigorous process required to secure funding, noting, “We had to demonstrate a true community need for this investment.”

“Working alongside Coastal Family Health Center has been incredibly rewarding, with a shared goal of creating a welcoming facility that supports integrated, whole-person care,” said Bill Pigg, president at Neenan Archistruction. “We’re proud of what this team accomplished together and the expanded access to health care it brings to Clatsop County.”

Employment Opportunities
The clinic is currently hiring medical assistants, dental hygienists, and nurses. “Community health centers are economic drivers,” Trotter said. “We create jobs and keep dollars in the community.”
