What We Offer

  • $41.66-$51.03/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide comprehensive care during patient visits, discuss chief complaints, obtain vital signs, complete health history, and document health information in the EMR system
  • Conduct phone triage to assess patient needs and coordinate follow-up care
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments, including IV starts when ordered, while educating patients on procedures and medications
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, coordinate referrals, and provide education to patients on medications and potential side effects

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing
  • OR State RN license; Dual licensure in WA & OR is required within 120 days of hire
  • If an RN license is in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, the following requirements apply:Must submit proof of license in state of residence.Must submit proof of completion for the required suicide prevention training during 1st week of onboarding.If relocating to Washington State, must obtain WA RN license within 6 months of hire.Must update the primary state of residence within 60 days (applies to anyone relocating to Washington State).Military Nurses are not required to obtain a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

What You’ll Do:

  • Provides care during patient visits, discussing chief complaint and obtaining vital signs and complete health history for the patient. Develops a baseline physical assessment.

  • Performs phone triage with patients to determine chief complaint and assessment of next steps and follow up care needed.

  • Documents health history, assessments, actions and medications in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Assists providers in diagnostic procedures and treatments.

  • Performs IV Starts when ordered. Provides information to patient regarding the procedure, including site selection and possible complications.

  • Communicates with patient to collect information on allergies and preexisting conditions.

  • Provides information to patient regarding the procedure, including site selection and possible complications.

  • Identifies the purpose, side effects, and onset of action for each class of drug being given to patient. Explains medication, usage and possible side effects to patient/guardian and obtains consent.

  • Collaborates with other healthcare providers in developing patient plan of care. Coordinates and plans interagency referrals related to patient care as directed by the provider.

  • Collaborates with provider in implementing the patient plan of care including providing education and identifying additional services needed for the patient. Initiates follow-up care plan as needed.

  • Collaborates with ancillary staff to process patients based on providers’ schedule, maintaining smooth patient flow.

  • Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

  • One year’s experience providing clinical or outpatient care as an Registered Nurse (RN) is preferred.

  • $9,500 Hiring Bonus Structure:
    • At Hire: $2,850.00

What You’ll Do:

  • Administer screening and assessment tools.

  • Perform prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care interventions and education, including home visits.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team case reviews.
  • Maintain required documentation.
  • Mentor nursing students, community health workers, and new Public Health Nursing staff.
  • Review staff charts for policy compliance.
  • Ensure site productivity and work with staff on improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with coursework in public health
  • Two years’ experience in providing maternity and newborn physical exams. This includes at least one years’ supervisory experience.
  • Current WA state RN license
  • CPR certification within 45 days of hire
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage is required

What You’ll Do:

  • Coaches, mentors and trains direct report staff. Assesses competencies of staff, provides continuous performance management and conducts employee performance evaluations. Provides feedback and progress related to site and individual goals and objectives. Addresses performance and/or behavior issues, clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
  • Supports staff growth and development. Assesses the educational, clinical experience, and communication needs of staff in collaboration with the individual. Encourages staff to seek educational opportunities incorporating job related training in addition to mandatory training.
  • Collaborates with Nursing and Medical Assistant staff to create and implement ideas for education including clinical performance and effective communication.
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff. Provides orientation to outline job requirements and expectations, policies and procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Develops and implements annual department work plan forecasting equipment needs and capacity requirements.
  • Delegates, assigns and coordinates work, ensuring an efficient work flow that achieves the departmental mission and objectives.
  • Monitors staff compliance with all policies, procedures and standards of Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC). Ensures clinic compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), The Joint Commission (TJC), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards of patient and employee safety.
  • Collaborates with management in the clinic as well as other clinics to plan patient care delivery systems to effectively address patient needs and ensure quality patient care.
  • Leads the Nursing and Medical Assistant staff in the daily implementation of patient care plans and workflows that meet state and federal requirements and/or metrics.
  • Reviews processes related to daily implementation of patient care and assignments. Evaluates adherence to process and works with staff on process improvement solutions.
  • Collaborates with clinic and maintenance staff to maintain the facility and ensure equipment and supplies are in good working order.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provides client care, discussing chief complaint and obtaining vital signs and complete health history for the patient. Develops a baseline physical assessment
  • Reviews and evaluates referrals for Maternal and Pediatric clients received from Case Management, Clinical staff and Outside Agencies
  • Determines client needs based on screening and assessment tools
  • Develops plan of care with client based on health history, health behavior, and needs for health and parenting education identified in screening tools
  • Collaborates with other healthcare providers in developing plan of care. Maintains regular contact with other professionals involved in delivering services to client to ensure coordination of services
  • Maintains contact with client as needed to provide intervention and evaluate plan of care
  • Participates in ongoing screening and evaluation of client’s needs, revising plan of care as needed
  • Provides office and/or home visits for clients throughout the pregnancy and postpartum period and performs assessment of newborn within one week of delivery
  • Performs interventions and health education for prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care clients as requested
  • Maintains files and forms that document intervention activities, in compliance with State, Clinic, and grant guidelines
  • Serves as a mentor to nursing students, community health workers, and new Public Health Nursing staff
  • Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and YVFWC requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Associate’s Degree with two years’ experience in parent-child nursing may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree. Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) only: Required education must meet terms of National Service Office (NSO) requirements and/or variances
  • Six months newborn exam experience preferred
  • Registered Nurse license for the state of practice
  • If RN license is in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, the following requirements apply:
    • Must submit proof of license in state of residence
    • Must submit proof of completion for the required suicide prevention training during 1st week of onboarding

This is a Relief position for Salud Medical Center. Variable Shifts from 7:30 am – 7:00 pm.

Position Highlights:

  • $41.66-$51.03/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
  • Additionalpay for bilingual skills, paidonhours worked

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide comprehensive care during patient visits, discuss chief complaints, obtain vital signs, complete health history, and document health information in the EMR system
  • Conduct phone triage to assess patient needs and coordinate follow-up care
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments, including IV starts when ordered, while educating patients on procedures and medications
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, coordinate referrals, and provide education to patients on medications and potential side effects

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing
  • Oregon RN license
  • Dual licensure in Washington and Oregon is required within 120 days of hire
  • If an RN license is in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, the following requirements apply: Must submit proof of license in state of residence. Must submit proof of completion for the required suicide prevention training during 1st week of onboarding. If relocating to Washington State, must obtain WA RN license within 6 months of hire. Must update the primary state of residence within 60 days (applies to anyone relocating to Washington State). Military Nurses are not required to obtain a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • BCLS certification within 90 days of hire; ACLS & PALS are preferred

What You’ll Do:

  • Coach, mentor, and train direct report staff. Provide continuous performance management and conduct employee performance evaluations. Address performance and/or behavior issues, clarify expectations, and provide feedback

  • Support staff growth and development. Assess the educational and experience needs of all levels of staff in collaboration with the individual. Encourage staff to seek educational opportunities, incorporating job‑related training in addition to mandatory training

  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff. Provide orientation that outlines job requirements and expectations, policies and procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment

  • Review Clinic Maternal and Pediatric client referrals from the Case Management group and/or clinic medical and nursing staff

  • Administer various screening and assessment tools

  • Develop client Care Plans based on health history, health behavior, and data collected from screening tools

  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic client relationship, establish goals, monitor progress, and revise the Care Plan as needed

  • Perform interventions and health education for prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care as requested. This may include home visits to perform newborn assessments

  • Participate in regular interdisciplinary team case reviews

  • Maintain clinic and State‑required intervention documentation

  • Mentor nursing students, community health workers, and new Public Health Nursing staff

  • Review staff charts to ensure policy compliance

  • Ensure each site meets productivity requirements and work with staff on any improvements needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with course work in public health

  • Two years’ experience in providing maternity and newborn physical exams. This includes one years’ supervisory experience

  • Two years’ supervisory experience preferred

  • Current Oregon State Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate within 45 days of hire

  • May require the following certification based on location and job duties performed

    • -International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred at a level 10 to receive bilingual differential pay

  • Knowledge of established professional nursing concepts, principles of practice and nursing procedures

  • Knowledge of and skill in using North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) nursing diagnosis

  • Knowledge of and skill in using therapeutic communication techniques
