At the recent graduation for TRIOS Health, an award was given to the Intern of the Year, selected from the first-year residents of TRIOS Health in Kennewick, WA, and the Sollus Northwest Family Medicine Residency Program in Grandview, WA.
While the voting was informal among the participants in both programs, the selection is meant to recognize an outstanding first-year resident (or “intern”). Four first-year residents were nominated by second and third-year residents. Of the four nominees, Sollus Northwest resident Stacy Brueckner, DO received the most votes.
Residents from both programs complete their clinical rotations together at the TRIOS Health Campuses. The TRIOS graduation was held on June 23, 2017. The Intern of the Year Award was started in 2017 by senior residents from both TRIOS Health and Sollus Northwest Family Medicine Residency programs to recognize a genuine appreciation for an intern’s hard work and skill.
