Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic continues to lead the way for health care in the state of Washington.
We are proud to announce Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic’s recent acknowledgment as a top-performing Community Health Care Center by the Washington Health Alliance. Our dedication to preventative medicine across Washington State has resulted in tremendous patient outcomes in our communities and we are honored that our track record has shown us to be among the most effective health care centers in the state.
This achievement comes in on the tails of other victories for Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the primary federal agency for improving health care to people who are geographically isolated, economically or medically vulnerable, recognized our clinics as producing some of the greatest patient outcomes in the Pacific Northwest. We were awarded their Health Center Quality Leader, Access Enhancer, Health Disparity Reducer, Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality, and Patient-Centered Medical Home honors, exceeding 13 of 16 federal UDS quality benchmarks and outperforming every other community health center in Washington State. These accolades culminated in our acceptance of the largest Health Center Quality Improvement Grant in all of Oregon and Washington.
We owe our deepest gratitude to an unbelievably dedicated team of providers and staff who bring our mission to life, especially in the midst of this global pandemic that’s ravaged our most vulnerable populations. Their commitment to our patients and our communities is how Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic can achieve such tremendous results.
But our mission is far from over. While we collaborate with health care providers across the Pacific Northwest to help them find the kind of success our organization has built, we need congress to bring our fiscal futures into focus so that we may plan a path to prosperity for our patients and their communities. Now is the time for Congress to invest in community health centers and the success they have fostered in underserved communities. Federal funding ensures our survival and success during the COIVD-19 pandemic and beyond. Our ability to bring essential care to the farthest reaches of the country not only protects our communities from unnecessary health risks, but it also preserves the economic engine of America. Without decisive action from congress the November, the public health system will struggle to plan for their future in the wake of a global pandemic and unprecedented need. Ensure Americans have the health care access they need and fund community health centers.
