Dr. Whitchurch spent her childhood in rural Northern California. She went to the University of California, Berkley, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology. Dr. Whitchurch was also a member of the Cal Marching Band as a trombone player. She went to the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine with the goal of working in rural medicine.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys outdoor activities with her dog, Duke, including hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and skiing. She still enjoys playing the trombone, but also plays the ukulele and the piano.
She is excited to move back to a community similar to the one she grew up in, and start the next phase of her medical career.
