Enjoy living in Washington State, known for its wide-open spaces, clean air, and abundance of mountains, rivers, and lakes. The Yakima Valley and the Yakima-Columbia River Valley are located in sunny Central Washington. These regions are active agricultural hubs, producing some of the world’s finest fruits, vegetables, hops, and wine grapes. They also offer outstanding recreational opportunities, including skiing, boating, hiking, and fishing.

In addition to working in our Grandview Medical-Dental Clinic, residents gain clinical experience at Trios Health in Kennewick; Prosser Memorial Health in Prosser; MultiCare Memorial Hospital in Yakima; and Astria Sunnyside Hospital in Sunnyside.

About Grandview

Located in the heart of the Yakima Valley, Grandview is a growing community of over 10,000 residents, situated near the eastern border of Yakima County in south-central Washington State. The city lies within 50 miles of Yakima as well as the Tri-Cities—Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick.

Grandview’s economy is rooted in agriculture, with major crops including apples, cherries, Concord and wine grapes, hops, asparagus, corn, wheat, and dairy. This robust agricultural base is supported by local processing plants and cold storage facilities.

A few highlights of the area include:

  • Conveniently located between Yakima and the Tri-Cities, offering easy access to sporting events and shopping.
  • Nestled in the heart of Wine Country, with numerous wineries offering guided tours, wine tastings, and gourmet dining.

Grandview Medical-Dental Clinic

The Grandview Clinic serves more than 12,000 patients each year, with approximately 40% being pediatric patients. Over 60% of all patients speak Spanish as their primary language. All medical assistants at this location are certified interpreters, so while Spanish language skills are helpful, they are not required for the residency.

The clinic sees a high volume of patients for family care, including women’s health, pediatrics, chronic care, and geriatrics. The clinic is connected to a dental clinic, behavioral health care, nutrition services, and pharmacy; taking care of the health and wellness of the patient in one place.

Mountainview Women’s Health Center

Mountainview Women’s Health Center, located in downtown Grandview, is a small clinic focusing on Obstetrics and Gynecology. From family planning and prenatal education through your baby’s first newborn exams, this clinic offers valuable health care to the patients of Grandview, WA. All medical assistants at this location are certified interpreters, so while Spanish language skills are helpful, they are not required for the residency.

Prosser Memorial Health serves the rural communities of Southeastern Washington with personalized, high-quality care. Rotations at Prosser Memorial Health emphasize hands-on learning, continuity of care, and further exposure to rural health challenges.  

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital serving Central Washington’s Yakima Valley. As a regional referral center, it offers residents exposure to a wide range of specialties and patient populations. The hospital’s commitment to serving a diverse and often underserved population makes it an ideal setting for developing well-rounded, community-focused physicians.
